Message I fired up my Z after a long day at work about a month ago while TT.net was down and it just sounded off. Just miss firing horribly, I freaked out and was like OMG my Z is gonna blow!!!! I drove her home ever so carefully and almost cried. Hoping it was a fluke I fired it up and sure enough it was the same. Watched YouTube videos and decided it was a bad injector.

I called Jamie and he had a few good old styleinjectors laying around.( Saving for nismo 740s and 300° rails currently.) He told me a good price and so the PayPal transaction went thru smoothly and the injectors got here and I eagerly jumped in with a Plenum pull. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was with all the deletes done.

Anywho everything is in (injectors in the rail was a BITCH) even covered in oil it was still a pita lol. Go to fire it up and it starts to turn over and just locks down. I freaked out and call Jamie. He tells me I prob pinched an Oring. I pull the plugs and let it dry out. He tells me to send him the rails and money for new orings and he'll put them in the rails and send them back.

I say ok and pull the Plenum again. To my horror I discover that cylinder 3 is literally full of fuel. Assuming I really messed something up I drained the fuel out of the cylinder and let it sit. Jamie gets the rails and sends them back and I get everything buttoned up and go to turn it over and it just sputtered and does nothing.

At this point im so frustrated the car just sits there and im talking to Jamie, he suggests either a bent rod or a dead battery. He suggests taking a socket and turning it over by hand to see if anything is fubar. It rained the next week solid and I was so busy with work and school I didn't have time for the car until last week Jamie asked how it was and motivated me to get it to my mechanic and have him go over it with me.

He picks the car apart and decides the balance tube wasn't tight enough (it wasn't), and some grounds were loose. Tightens it all up and grabs a big socket and breaker bar. Manually turns it over and everything feels good he says ok fire it up. Turn the key, she starts then makes a horrible grinding noise and then does nothing.

He grabs the battery out of his truck, pops it in, turn the key, she spits sputters, idles like ass then hiccups, pops and goes into a silky smooth idle. My heart was like OMG HELL YEA!!!

Knowing the car needs an oil change we dont let her run long. I go get a battery and an OEM filter along with some Rotella T6 in 5w 40. Change the oil in it on Thursday morning and wash her and clean up all the spilt fuel and all the dirty hand prints and im beaming, dying to drive her, but had to go to work. And all at work im thinking im gonna drive my Z tonight. Time finally comes buddy comes scoops me up. We get there and she is sitting under the bay door lights on looking so sexy in only the way a Z32 can. I am beyond overjoyed. Hop in and turn the key, wait 3 seconds and then bam fires up like a champ. Pull out and just cruise, windows down, Ttops off, music off and just let her sing her melodious song to me.

I forgot how nice it is owning/driving a TT Z32. Boost comes in beautifully and so hard for stock turbos. Just wanna say thanks to all the fellow Z guys who inspire me and especially to Jamie Staples. He has helped me so much I cant thank him enough!!! If your in SC or close and need work don't hesitate to take your Z to him. He is truly a MASTER Z mechanic.

People say life isn't measured in the ammount of breaths you take but
the moments that take your breath away...
My Z takes my breath away every time I'm behind the wheel.
