| My garage refurb was determined by size and cost. I have only 20'x20'. I don't have room for a lift, air, workbench or a cleaning station. I went for a contemporary look to match the decor of the property. - repainted the ceiling white for light reflection, I painted the walls to match the trim color of the house so when the garage is open, it coordinates (for HOA aesthetics). The craftsman light hangs from the garage door unit and will reach anywhere within 20ft. - painted Rustoleum epoxy finish (with the specks) from Home Depot on the floor. This is good for eliminating spills, they don't soak into the concrete. - moved the light fixture forward to the front of the cars so I can see better under the hoods. I also doubled the flourescent lights which really helped prevent shadowing. - mounted a shop fan on the wall, ipod dock, fire extinguisher and clock for convenience. If I didn't have a WAN, I'd installed a LAN drop. - purchased contemporary shelving online, assembled and installed on the wall just above where the toolbox now sits for supplies. Many of the sundry items (sports, beach, vacuum, etc are mounted on the wall or on shelving. I never hang any shelving beside or over the Z to prevent accidentals. I bought a rolling tool box from harbor freight I can move around and use as a workbench surface. I've received numerous positive comments from the neighbors and it meets most of my needs. When I need to lift the car, I drag out the block of wood and the jack (hanging on the wall). When I need to clean parts, I use a bucket for small pieces or I go to a friend's shop who lets me use his sanblaster. I wish I had a lift, air, bench, vise and cleaning station but simply don't have the room. If you have suggestions, please let me know. Hope this helps ya
