Message	off. When I installed my GT28R turbos back in the day.. I set the wastegates actuators at 15psi.. which gave me a base boost of like 14psi (approx). You can set them as low as you want to. The only reason I don't like setting upgraded turbo adjustable wastegate actuators low is because.. since it is set based on PRELOAD.. basically the internal spring is tensioned more to increase the resistance it takes to open the wastegate actuator-->flapper door.. so it will increase the boost. If you set it too low (the actuator) you have more chances of the boost being able to spike and have less precise control. This is because the internal spring inside the wastegate actuator will have to compress more to be able to keep the flapper door closed. Which would cause boost creep/spiking. This is another reason why I chose the Forge adjustable actuators over the garrett or HKS. Because both of those use a progressive spring.. which need preload to have the desired tension. Where the Forge uses a Linear rate spring. (same stiffness throughout).. It just would have a little sharper boost control. But there is nothing wrong with the actuators you have. For a GT28RS (sport 700's).. I would set the base boost at 15psi actuator setting.
