Message wife-to-be what would be one thing she'd change about me. Her answer: "Nothing - love means not wanting to change the person into something they're not."

It's good thing he asked her the question first. :-D

You two need to dig into the "molding me into her idea of the ideal family man" issue. It's great that she wants you to be like her dad, up to the point that you want to as well. Beyond that and she's putting unrealistic expectations (demands) on you. I'm sure you have an ideal family man role model as well - what's her take on that. Taking it one step further, what's your ideal family woman? And what's her version?

The timing to get to the bottom of this issue will likely take longer than the keep-the-car-or-sell-it decision timing. So whatever you decide, I hope you two can work things out for the long-range plans.
