Message	carbide cutters. While I agree that the operator is the single biggest influence in the quality of the valve job, there are limitations with traditional cutters that don't exist with a single point cutter. Automotive Machine quoted me $160 per head to cut the seats with a Newen, vs $89 for a standard Serdi valve job. For that incremental cost vs the benefit, I consider traditional cutters obsolete.
