Saw one of these at the machine shop the other day: [ http://www.newen.com/Pages/products/contour-bb.html ] It allows custom seat profiles where you can blend into the throat, cut the actual seat, and deshroud the valve in one machining operation. This is a Harley Davidson head. The intake seat face on the right has been raised .005" to add a touch of turbulence at the entry into the chamber to atomize any fuel that has puddled out on the port wall. The traditional 3 angle valve seat cutter is obsolete IMHO
