HA!, yeah, have been recently working on my Jeep GC before trading it in and had it's oil pan gasket in mind. Just power washed the leaky mess off my driveway today. Still though, the concern is valid in general automotive mechanics and that's the point I was trying to make. That's probably why Nissan stuck that in the FSM. FYI, I've pulled oil pans on Zs many times. And yes, I apply the same Nissan liquid gasket to the oil pan that's used for the exhaust valve covers. The oil pan procedure bookmarked. It explains what to do with those gasket areas. [ http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=em&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=10&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=70 ]
