I have tuned with lots of different fuels and I have a understanding of tuning and fuel burn rates. If I know that general gasoline has a stoichiometric ratio of 14.7 to 1, and I know that E85 has a stoichiometric ratio of 9.765 to 1, I can reasonably conclude that with the proper tune, I am going to burn significantly more fuel with E85 over gasoline. I have also researched E85 and have found across the board results, from car manufacturers reports, tuners reports, government reports, ect. They all come up with 25 to 35% more fuel burned with E85 on engines running the same compression ratio compared to gasoline. Make no mistake, I am very interested in E85, it is absolutely more cost effective than race fuel. E85 allows you to make much more power than pump fuel, for a similar end cost. Your statement of not consuming more fuel with E85 is simply not true with a safely tuned, normal compression ratio engine.
