Message	Pretty sure the fact that it sticks out past the bumper increases the possibility of its effectiveness on a track. Nissan extended the 2012 GTR rear diffuser to stick out 2 inches past the rear bumper. Their explanation for it was that it pushed the turbulent air further away from the rear of the car improving downforce and drag.
