And maybe it does negatively affect the car in a drag race as it essentially creates drag, pushing the car down rather than letting it flow naturally. A floaty car is ok on the drag strip. But on the track where you are cornering at mid to high speeds a front splitter works to keep your center of gravity lower and your turning wheels more firmly planted. Again, it was a minimal to moderate effect in this instance, but it was there none the less. Naturally
