Message Don't be driving home with one eye open and a belly full of turkey. Take a nap before you head home from your turkey stuffin'.

I'll be leaving warm and sunny Florida tomorrow and heading up to chilly Mich this year to be with the in laws.

I haven't been staying current on here these past few years as I'm more focused on my daughter and family fun. In the last 3 years my Z has traveled a total of 18 miles. This past weekend I became motivated and decided to take advantage of the cool weather and start getting the Z ready for paint.

I installed the Ionic Dynamics 90-93 spoiler as a dry fit. I'm happy to say that the spoiler fit very well over all. It will need a little edge relief along the lower sides so the edge parallels the edge of the tailgate. A little block sanding should make short order of that. I'm very happy with the fit and finish as most aftermarket parts typically need a lot of massaging to make them fit snug. I stopped procrastinating finally was able to get the spoiler off its resting place on the tailgate and installed on the car. It was odd to see the factory spoiler sitting by the curb for trash day.

All will be on hold this week while I travel and stuff my face with goodies. This weekend I'll dry fit the new nose panel and get that and the spoiler in epoxy sealer. I've taken a few pics of the spoiler install along the way and once I get the nose panel fitted I'll post some pics.

Painting cars like the Z seems to be a topic of interest from time to time. Although I'm not a professional bodyman anymore I retained my tools and skills from "back when" however dusty they may be.

Why now?
A few weeks ago I turned right into a parking space in my wifes Exploer Sport Trac and didn't see a huge low laying rock. Anybody familiar with Florida Coquina Rock knows they are like 10 grit grinding wheels. I damaged the running board and the flare pieces along with the side molding. Last weekend I repaired and repainted the parts and this weekend I repainted the black plastic parts around the entire vehicle. It looks like new and that motivated me to start on the Z. It was like riding a bike as the cliche goes.

Well anyway.. enough rambling. Look forward to seeing a continual series of posts as I'll bring everyone along for the ride. I'll show you new techniques and the use of new materials and processes for ding/dent repair.

Everyone have a Happy and Safe week.
