Message	and necessary if you're planning to go with bigger brake rotors in the future. I cut mine off just a couple weeks ago while I had my rear end disassembled for installation of all the SPL goodies. It doesn't take long to do a quick and dirty job of it but I went ahead and ground down the few weld points and painted what was left which added a little more time.
