Message are so many variables that can cause chest pain from the very minor to the very critical (which could take hours to develop), you do not want to mess with this...period. At least you will know.

#2 I'm so sorry for your loss, it sucks....been there, done that but remember at the end of the day it's just a car. You can drive without it, but it can't drive without you!

#3 Count your blessings, that could have been much worse. Try to think about what you did right to prevent that from being so and not so much on what caused it. In that instance, you need to try to use the car as a tool to survive and it sounds like you did. Remember that crunch you heard could have been you.

#4 As far as the insurance goes, do not over dramatize what the car meant to you. Be professional at your approach and be prepared to show them photographs from when the car was in pristine condition. Do let them know that you fully intend on getting another Z32 (whether you will or not) as this gives them indication that the car is more part of your lifestyle and not just means for transportation. Also wouldn't hurt if you let them know that you will probably be keeping the car, you can always change your mind later. Do not give them receipts for aftermarket parts unless they specifically ask for them, typically they do not care.

And finally; it's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.

Good luck, we'll be waiting to see what you do next. Oh and for the record, TT verts kick ass!!!
