| state of utter disbelief, shock, and am completely emotionally destroyed... maybe paralyzed is the more accurate term. The tears have yet to start flowing as I mourn my loss, but at present, I sit typing away with a great pain in my chest... literally. Forgive me ahead of time for any part that doesn't make sense as I will try to keep this short and to the point. Today was a regular day in what is turning out to be a normal start to Fall here in Seattle. It had started raining earlier in the afternoon. I was taking out the Z for the first time in the rain in maybe 8... months. Reason: First date. It's my only personal vehicle. Normally I would pick her up, but she has a first time policy about driving herself. I respect that. Fast forward after the date (which I thought went great for those that care) and I'm heading back from Alki getting onto the west Seattle bridge to head home. I've driven this bridge dozens of times, but can't remember the last time I drove it wet. As I was passing a car going insanely slow for being an "on-ramp" I changed lanes gradually back into the lane I was first in, (mind you I'm still accelerating to get up to speed) and during the lane change, lost complete traction due to the ~1ft metal joining pieces of the on-ramp... of which there are maybe 4-6 some short 25-50ft apart. I can only recall that one tire had traction, the other did not which threw me facing the left barrier of a 2 lane on ramp. After fishtailing in what most would describe as slow motion and probably due to the shock of losing control, I kept on the gas to try and correct. At some point of fishtailing maybe 2 times... I recall being somewhat straight and "recoverable" and let off the throttle completely to coast. At this point I realized I was somehow heading into a 3ft. cement barrier that has a ~10" "base curb" at a 45* angle facing right, which also has a plunge of ~20-30ft if it didn't hold and traveling at a speed ~30-40mph. Hard to remember it all. After bouncing off the wall, I was facing oncoming traffic and spun the wheel the other way to complete my "360". I was able to drive the car another 50-100ft with my first feeling being "this can't be good, but she seems driveable." since the airbag did NOT deploy. The driver of the car I passed stopped to check up on me and see if there was anything else I needed and the date stayed w/ me to make sure everything is taken care of. Needless to say, the pics speak for themselves and after seeing it, accepted that it's totaled.

 And now left.

$602.25 for flatbed towing (which wouldn't have made a difference if it was dolly because of some new state approved policy on towing "wrecked vehicles" it's no longer ex: $60/hr and xx per mile.) I will be dealing with insurance tomorrow as well as going to the Dr. for some possible chest x-rays since my chest hurts.
