| I brought my car to Bernie for some upgrades a few weeks ago, and we finished it up on Labor day. Some photos of what was done: The patient.
An 84K-mile engine. RPS clutch, Old-school 3" Random Technology stainless downpipes, Thermo-tech wrap.

It ran strong when all cylinders were firing, but the injectors were failing. The aftermath of several Dremel-method extractions:

There was a slow leak in the HICAS/ power steering lines. Many years worth of accumulated gunk:

All those hoses and lines were replaced, as were all fuel lines, vaccum hoses, and miscellaneous electrical sub-harnesses and connections throughout the engine bay.
...On the plus side, my car has a corrosion-resistant coating of Dexron fluid on its belly! 3" Random Technology stainless mid-pipes (heat wrapped) with high-flow cats, transitioning down to a Borla. No resonance whatsoever -- just a nice growl on acceleration. (Also Greg Dupree subframe spacers and Technafit brake lines.)

New '95 harness:

Cams look nice and clean. The engine was out and opened 20K miles ago to have two pistons and rods replaced when the previous owner drove through too deep a puddle. Bernie freshened up the valve cover gaskets, while they were easily accessible.

300 Degree fuel rail, Nismo 615 injectors, and Specialty Z fue line kit:

Mike Smith manifolds, new PCV values, EGR deleted:

JWT 530BB turbos and Specialty Z 3" expansion stainless downpipes. Oil feed lines thermo-wrapped:

Stock flywheel, freshly re-surfaced:

...Working on buttoning it back up at five minutes 'til Labor Day.

Bernie put me up for the night, and we made a run to Wally World early the next morning to stock up on fluids and pick up a new battery.

I didn't paint or polish anything, and re-used my stock intake hoses. So the engine still looks like stock. ...Seen one, you've seen 'em all. But this one is now clean and tidy, and purrs like a kitten until I want it to growl.
Many thanks to Bernie (Bernie (NoVA)) (and Laurie and Maggie for their hospitality), Karl (Karl(MD)), Ashley (TT XTZ), and Mike (TheDeadKing) for the good work they did on my car. Bernie was so happy to be done with my car, it made him want to sing!
See it (and bring yours!) at Ztoberfest in Richmond on Sunday, October 3rd!
