Message and still be able to stroke the full travel of the shocks. Look at the graphs and you will see the amount of bump and rebound for both OE and the new shocks.

The BCs actually came with nylon thrust washers. Mind you, they're not torrington thrust bearings, but with a little grease between them and the spring seats, they were invaluable for setting the preload.
