as it being a valid option.. I did mention modifying the MS manifolds.. but that would be me using a mill and possibly welding more material to do this.. As for custom downpipes.. I don't think that would be a huge $$ especially if this was done.. it would be a basic 3" pipe. Not as complex as me trying to make expansion pipes. However; I am not trying to justify this as being worth it.. I agree that it probably woudln't be worth it.. especially for a turbo this small. It would be cool though. I personally would just re-route the wastegate pipe back into my downpipe or test pipe.. I used to enjoy the sounds of open dump. But it gets so old so fast.. But I do love the sound of a external wastegated turbo letting off.. Its got that higher pitched expression but not as "squeeky" as HKS Bov's. I just posted because I thought it would be cool to see some thoughts.. ya know.. one of those nights.. Had an electrical problem in my garage since the past owner of this house completely screwed up how he wired the garage and it ruined all this insulation that I just put in. luckily nothing car related got damaged.. but I havne't even been able to go in there much at all.
NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
