| I don’t know if these will help or just confuse you because it isn’t exactly what you are looking for but at least it gives you the general idea. I know I have seen pictures of the dual Walbro install someone posted from Z1. I have not been able to find the pictures on the Z1 site but suspect they are in the web site “shop” pictures somewhere? If you can find them, those are what you are looking for. This is a picture of a single Walbro installed on a stock fuel pump assembly on the right and my original stock assembly with a new Nissan stock fuel pump on the left. My duel pump set-up consists of the stock pump in the stock location and the single independent Walbro mounted on a stock fuel pump assembly mounted in the passenger side bulkhead/portal of the gas tank. The secondary pump has a separate -6AN feed line running to the engine bay and Ys into an -8AN fuel supply line before the filter. Long story but I wanted both pumps installed inside the tank and I already had a brand new stock fuel pump…..and most of the time, I only need the stock pump running and being controlled!
Ignore the braided fuel line. It is replacing a hard line vent tube normally located on the passenger side fuel assembly bulkhead. What you are looking for is how the Walbro is clamped onto the assembly arm. With a duel Walbro set-up, there are obviously two units clamped to the arm. I’m assuming your package from Ash has the stuff to tee the fuel line connection and wiring to both pumps? You are basically trying to get the filter socks to sit at the same general height as the stock sock where it attached to the assembly arm. (As seen in first picture) This picture gives you a little different view of the clamps and arm. This bulkhead assembly looks different because it has the return vent line tee assembly removed since only one return line vent is needed on this secondary unit for my application. It makes it easier for you to see the fuel line connection from the pump to the bulkhead assembly though. You'll need to install your tee where where you can best fit around the return lines.
This is it with the fuel gauge sender float and arm attached. Mine has some “custom bending” so it works on the passenger side of the gas tank saddle. I’m not sure if you will need to bend the sender float so that it clears the two Walbros but I would think you might.
Hopefully this helps along with whatever info others can direct you too on the Z1 site or you can get from Ash.
