i talked to a local shop a while back about problems i was having with my car when i first got it, and we decided to order some fuel injectors for it. it's a '90, so he ordered early style injectors. this IS a shop specifically for z's, just not specifically z32's. he told me that the original injectors were susceptible to ethanol and that the "new old style" injectors had been modified to resist. without doing any more research because i was under the impression that i was talking to a pro, i just went with it, in other words, bent over, and bought this $1000 set of outdated square top injectors. since then, i've learned through research that this dude was lying hard core, he over charged, and i really shouldn't ever have trusted this guy. all this happened so soon after i got the car that i really hadn't done the research i should have. anyway, after ~25k on them now, i've got a bad injector. i'm ordering the conversion kit from a more trusted vendor to remedy this, but i'm wondering what you all think i could do about reparations for being ripped off like this. i know a lot of you have had experiences with shops ripping you off, but this is a first for me. so what are my options? is it just too late and i have to accept that "he got me"? or are there certain phrases i could throw at him to get him a little nervous and give me a full/partial refund? i'm expecting the worst here, but this forum never fails to impress with beneficial info, so i figured it could be worth a try. thanks in advance
