| I acquired a 1991 300zx about a 2 yeas ago. Since being a lurker on TT.net I had a pretty good game plan on what to do with it. My first plan to go ahead and give it the full blown deal, Kyle built long block, nice set of turbos and SZ exhaust but to my suprise life hit me and me wife announced that she was pregnant with our second child. So there went half my budget and the ability to rapidly do the work I so much wanted. The vehicle itself is a 1991 with about 110,000 miles on the clock. It has the following items instaled(profile is not updated but will be soon): Sp500 turbos, Border 850cc injectors, Ash ECU, Generic downpipes with HKS Exhaust(Flame suit on), JWT twin intake, HKS Intercoolers, HKS SSBV, RPS carbon carbon clutch(old one), new in 06 transmission, 1pc drive shaft, and a couple of other minor mods which were ll done by previous owner. During my brothers ownership he re-built the motor about 3 years ago by a local mechanic with oem parts. Shortly after it was tuned by SGP when it was open and produced about 430 horses, six months later the vwhicle began too smoke on a constant basis and so my brithers passion for it was lost and it sat for the next year. When I purchased the vehicle I put it at my in laws in outside covered storage back in my home town untill I could acquire the place and money to do a proper re-built. There it sat for the next 2 years being turned on and runed for brief periods of time on average once every 6 weeks. So it brings me to today when I removed the front bumper to rid it of some good size spiders that had hitchhiked from Texas to Florida. I noticed the intakes were soaked in oil as well as the BOV's. Upon that it seem every bolt had some form of corrosion. I removed the BOV and found alot of oil on the inside of the BOV as weel as inside the pipeing. Oil on left tube, notice the spidy webs.
BOV with oil inside after removal of outside shield.
 Engine bay as it sits.
I have a budget of about 5 to 6 grand which leaves me I belive the following options... So my next step is to test the motor for compression and if it's good I will pull it and leave as is to replace the turbos, which I forgot to mentioned are bad on both sides. This will include SZ Dp, MSP manis, SZ test pipes and new harness, new silicone hoses, re-paint engine bay and polish and powder coat some items. Second choice if engine is bad, pull engine replace with JDm engine rebuilt SP500 turbos with new center cartridges, MSP manis and new harness. Re-paint engine bay and polish and powder coat some items. I'm really new at this so chime in on what options would best suit me to get this car back to it's runnig prime. Please excuse any gramatical errors and or if the story is a little confusing.
