Im considering the possibility of picking up a 93 TT Z 5 speed with 55k miles clean title totally stock exterior/interior (exteriors clear coat is burned for sitting out so long, thats the only issue with the exterior otherwise its clean) BUT the engine was taken apart to do massive overhaul/rebuilt that was to be done buut wasnt and was never put back together. The car has been sitting for more than a year and all the engine components were not wrapped or cleaned before putting the Z away. In fact all the engine components are sitting inside the Z. Now my question is, if I were to pick up this Z, could I rebuilt the original longblock? Or would buying another engine (either USDM or JDM) and just doing some basic maintinance in it like 60 k kit gaskets pcv's new clutch etc. be better. Any input would be helpful, thank you.
