with 80 grit , a wire wheel , dremal (tight spaces) but i did most of my engine bay with sos soap pads and prep all . the sos pads practially wiped the paint right off to the primer and it was original paint. i did my whole engine bay with" spray can" primer , base coat and clear coat which i ordered to color match my ag2 paint from "automotive touchup " 1-888-710-5197 out of new orleans but i think they are a national company . check out my engine bay pics about 5 posts down. i was real pleased with the sprayer nozzle and quality of product . paint was $20 per 12oz can and the primer and clear were $8 per 12oz can.hope that helps .
