Message	Didn't the 60U have more pleats and surface area than the 55Y? And given they have the same filtration paper (demonstrated by your particle analysis, wouldn't the 60U last longer? Perhaps Nissan justified the switch thinking most owners will change their oil at 3000 miles rather than the factory recommended 5000. Perhaps a 55Y is good for 3000 miles while the 60U is good for 5000. Agreed though, if we all change at 3000 (I do), then a 55Y would suffice, according to your analysis.
