| Someone posted a question about the 55Y filter on Nicoforums, so I decided to do some more digging into a replacement for the beloved 60U. I searched on here first, to get pointed in the right direction and came across some great threads; Guapo and davidztt fighting about Amsoil, Kenny and I butting virtual heads over oil change intervals, and of course Bernie shuddering when he actually agreed with me :-) So, this is what I've found. They may still be OK, because Nissan has a large department dedicated to supplier quality. However, they are still the inferior 55Y filter. I have recently searched for sources for 15208-60U00 style filters, because I only have maybe 3 left. Here's what I've found, listed in (IMO) best option to worst option: This is the Nippon-Denso part which may be most similar to a 60U. I just ordered one to check: Nippon-Denso 150-1007 filters at Amazon.com The Wix filter which some people claim to be identical to the 60U, but it does not look the same. Probably still a great filter, definitely at least equivalent to the 55Y: The Wix 51361 I've also heard great things about the NapaGold filters (made by Wix): Napa Gold P/N 1361 
These look most like the 60U filters from the limited pictures I can find online. I use Purolator PureONE filters on my DD, and they've been great for years now. If I had to pick an in-store brand of filter, that would be it: Purolator PureONE 24457
And I found it searching the 15208-60U00 part number, but I'd personally consider other options before checking these out. Although, at that price, if someone were to buy one and cut it up for comparison, I'd be interested in the results.
This place sells lift parts, but has what they claim to be a replacement for a 60U filter. It does look similar to a 60U from my memory, but I'd have to check to be certain. Seems kinda sketch, but it does reference the 15208-60U00 Nissan part number: Good enough for a fork lift, good enough for the Z, lol
