Message lag is going to be fairly proportional to their max potential. In this case both turbos are properly designed Garrett units with fairly evenly sized turbine and compressor wheels. The GT2560R is going to be spool considerably faster than a GT3071R with each being fed by 1.5L of displacement. To claim the contrary would defy physical principles including rotational inertia among others. There has been considerable effort and money put into the science of acheiving the best of both worlds, improving area under the curve, making a larger turbo more responsive. Variable vane turbos and other costly concepts have been used to try and improve the response of larger turbos. In similar applications to say GT3071R is as responsive as a GT2560R, or even a GT2860RS goes against logic. There are other variables that may appear to make one car appear as responsive on a dyno chart. I have nothing against large turbos and we have kits already made that are based on the GT3071R as well as the GT3076R, but I wouldn't claim they are comparable in response to our smaller kits.
