| They were flaking around the rim of the wheel due to the years of mounting/dismounting 30 and 35 series tires, as well as rock chips on the rear ones. The true answer is to save up your $$$ and get them refinished. I had them "machine" the lip and it really made for a nice finish. I didn't re-do the center caps, so they still look a bit "yellowish" but you don't notice them. (yes I know the color is off... I was messing w/photoshop)
