I'm not going for budget as far as internals are concerned. "Better safe than sorry" and "Do it once do it right" come to my mind. It would cost A LOT after to save only a few hundreds $ before. It's my first rebuild, and I hope it'll be my last one. Wiseco are the best bang for the buck, but they are 4032 aluminium and it looks like 2618 is better for high boost, even if it may be noisy at cold and not last as long as 4032 (but what are we talking about ? 100,000 miles vs 50,000 miles ? Or a greater ratio ?) So, first, can we *confirm* that 2618 is a better choice for my application ? GT3071's, 93 octane + water injection or E85 => 600-650 RWHP, rarely race fuel. Then, which brand ? If 4032 were the best alloy for my application, I would go with Wiseco with no doubt. If 2618 is the way to go, the question is : Ross or CP or another manufacturer (Arias, JE, Mahle...) ? Of course I'm open minded to all opinions/advices : that's why I posted here :-)
