When using the GT28R turbos, the passenger side had to be cut out a little to fit the wastegate actuator and I think I just clocked the drivers side a little. I also didn't run heat shields. But I would assume that you would have to beat them in a bit.
Here is the only pic that I have of that engine, but you can see how the passenger side actuator is all snug up in there. I had to cut out a chunk of the base plate of the mount bracket.
