Why not just ask 300 degree to make the modification for the O'ring and the second (way more serious) was to still call and sell your modified version as the 300 degree brand. I work for some pretty major manufacturing companies and this copying of other companies products happens all the time. Anytime anything new comes out the companies imeadiatly get their hands on one, take it apart and modify it slightly and then intorduce their version. Although this seems to happen a lot (300 degree brake braces, Mike Smith manifolds) we are much too small of a comunity for that IMO.
The Z crowd, especially a model that is no longer in production, needs these inovators who come up with these solutions and improvments. Every time someone takes a new product and just copies (or slightly improves) it just kills the reason for spending all the thought and time to come up with a creative solution in the first place. Just look at what was available for the 300 ZX in the early 90's versus what is out there today.
