Message Granted the flowing coolant will help limit the temperature spike greatly,
but oil it's self not only lubricates, but cools as well. Unlike coolant, oil just
doesn't boil when trapped in a extremely hot space, but it bakes a varnish
where ever it sits. It's called coking.
As for timers, I chose to not install one. I don't mind sitting 3 to 5 minutes
after driving. Turbo timers leave the possibility of not being able to shut
down the engine immediately if needed.
