Message Polish for the Aluminum and Stainless parts. Repaint w/ chassis black wherever possible. Granted this undercarriage does not belong to a daily driver, but the car is driven regularly and once in a while gets caught in the rain on or puddled roadways.

WD40 is used every six months to keep it clean and rust-free. If this is done regularly, the bottomside stays pretty nice all the time.

It helps to remove some large parts like the exhaust and some of the shields. The undercoating on large panels was stripped and replaced by adhesive-backed 1/4" aluminum heat/sound insulation. They have been installed more than a year now in the Florida heat and the panel sections have been firmly attached either by adhesive or existing underside fasteners.

PS: I cheated... the trans is new. gordo
