Message	I always grab a bunch of your favorite degreaser bottles, (purple power is my choice) connect a hose and a garden sprayer up to your water heater, and clean the hell out of it. The super hot water makes the cleaning a whole hell of a lot easier.. just make sure you wear some sort of eye protection.. hot hot hot water and degreaser in your eyes is not super cool
