| Unlike the FAQ that Bernie mentions, you don't have to cut or dremel anything to get the stock harness into the JDM corner marker housing. It's easiest to start by pulling the rubber gaskets off - that gives you a little more room to work with. Once you've figured out how to do it, take the bulb back out, put the gaskets back on and you'll have to use a bit more force to squish the rubber. The housing has gaps for 4 tabs. One of these is longer than the others. The USDM harness has 3 tabs, one is again longer. Hold the housing so that the hole is facing you, and hold the harness so that it's ready to be inserted. The first harness tab to enter should be one of the smaller ones - the tab directly clockwise from the larger tab with the bulb facing away from you. This gets inserted into the small tab opening on the housing that is directly clockwise from the large opening. At this point, you should have one tab into the housing, and the bulb socket will be at a slant. Rotate the harness clockwise, making sure that the tab stays under the plastic lip. As you rotate, there will be a point where the large tab aligns with the large opening - tilt the bulb socket so that both tabs are under the plastic lip on the housing. Keep rotating the socket, and eventually the final tab will align. This will be the hard part, since you'll have to use some force to rotate the harness when it's at an angle. It'll be pretty satisfying when you get the last tab in. Sorry if my explanation is a bit confusing. It's hard to explain this without pictures. For what it's worth, I found this was a bit easier to do with new harnesses as opposed to my original 1990 harnesses since the plastic was slightly different. Either can be done though - I only replaced mine because they were worn. If you're still having troubles with fast blinking on one side or another, try cleaning the contacts of the harness with some rubbing alcohol. I found the connections to be a bit finicky, and had the problem even with a new harness. I just jiggled things around and it's functioning properly now.
