Thanks to everyone for their advice and to Mike Smith for the write up. Lets just say that all the subtle instructions are there for a reason (some of which I had to learn the hard way). I had this crazy thought that I could use the two rear mounting bolts to pull the differential into position which turned out to not work at all and I ended up having to drop the differential again and start over.
Anyway, the problem with the drive line shutter under heavy acceleration is now gone and the car is really putting the power to the ground.
