I finally got around to installing my rear strut bar after having ridden on coilovers without it for almost 2 years. I find that the rear suspension is more compliant over sudden bumps etc. It feels great and actually more comfortable. The rear used to hop over the sudden bump turning off my street at low speed, and now it absorbs it nicely without the drama. I believe chassis bracing has a more pronounced affect on cars with stiffer spring rates, as there is more stress on the strut towers, and should be a must. Anyone else have similar impressions? I know this is general knowledge, and chassis stiffening should be the 1st step in tuning.. but felt like sharing and gaining others impressions.-A tip for people who are installing 3 piece bars, make sure to park on a level surface and hand preload the strut tower brackets to make up for flex in the bracket arm(turning the bar itself and then tightening lock nuts).
