You could do that, or get the test pipes ... then when it's time for emissions just tape up your old stock cat pipes and throw them on. That's a lot of trouble though. I hate having to do it every year. ;) I'd just save up and get the SZ cat pipes. And don't worry, the aluminized steel lasts practically forever, especially if you throw on a few layers of high temp paint.
