of crap for my views but I don't think that gas prices should have some down. People were just starting to think about conservation, and looking at their lifestyle. Forced due to the price of gas. Carpooling, linking trips and errands, walking from one side of the shopping center to the other, people walking in town, riding bikes. We were seeing an decrease in total vehicle miles traveled. Traffic was getting lighter. Highway speeds were decreasing as well as Traffic accidents. Didn't see as many single drivers in huge SUV's getting their solo 10mpg. It was like the nation turned their way of thinking overnight. Conservation and health seemed to be the trend. Now all that crap (which I though was good) is going back out the window. The office fat guy no longer rides his bike into town for lunch...he drives the mile, in view of the bike path. It's not that I don't like driving. I love it!! But I want to make sure when I am old, our way of life is still preserved by not running out of oil. In short I want to be driving my Z when I am old and grey.
