| I don't recall the specifics but it involves getting under the car and looking to see if there's a crush zone from someone jacking the car up improperly (likely). There's a bolt there you can futz with too but again I don't recall exactly. The other method is less desirable and involves some moderate but delicate pounding of the rock guard area in a downward motion to massage the metal back. It's not ideal and a bit riskier. I used an old tshirt folded up on a wet/slick surface and took my time with it to not dent the metal. I'll see what I can dig up in search if no one posts the better method.
