instead of running a LED display from the ECU to the dash, possibly consider mounting/splicing individual LED's as close as possible to the injector, to determine signal presence at the injector? If done properly, I *think* it could be designed to not interfere with normal engine operation and would actually serve as a quick visual check or tool when diagnosing any engine irregularities without being too complex. If the LED's were biased properly with additional circuity, they would not load the injector signal and could possibly be set to possibly indicate inadequate or excessive voltage drop across the injector via color change, indicating failing injector (due resistance change) and be used on a semi-permanent basis. It would at least indicate CAS and ECU function under normal operation? Anyhow, thanks for the write up and idea!
