| The '82/'83 models looked much better than the '79~'81 models due to some rather simple tweaks to the exterior. And similarly, the '88/'89 Z31's were an improvement over the '84~'87 models. Were they superior to the S30's? No. But Nissan did make improvements to the appearance during the life cycle of those models that made them more aesthetically pleasing. Sometimes a polarizing look is what the automakers are shooting for. In their effort to try and distinguish the 370Z from their competitors, I think Nissan fell short of the mark but I give them credit for trying something different. I'm tired of looking ahead in traffic and trying to decide if it's a 350Z or a Mitsu Eclipse coming at me.
