pretty close. I figure Nissan is trying hard to be "down with it" by creating the sort of sport vehicle people seem to like. In doing that, naturally there is no real independant ideas, or any innovation. The 240Z in '69 or the Z32 in '90 were great break-away cars. Complete sports cars, unto themselves and like no other. Like the 240Z growing into the 280ZX and Z31, with no real change but for the ugly, the 300zx seems to have evolved into the uglier and less thoughtful, less innovative 350Z and now 370Z. I'd be willing to bet, that in a few years time, a brand new Z, that departs this 350/370 trend completely will arrive, based on the imaginations of a group of designers ready to branch out.....at least lets hope! :)
