Message fuel filter

air filter

thermostat, if open to far or stuck open it will effect engine
temp and the ECM will think engine in warm up
mode and more fuel will be used at the injectors.
Use OEM. This is an oft overlooked item for
regaining fuel economy

Replace PCV's and special hoses with the interior orifice. Use only OEM

Clean the throttle bodies with O2 and CAT safe cleaner

Clean MAS and connector and fill connector with dielectric grease

Check ECM for codes

Check the coolant temp sensor to see if in spec Clean the coolant temp sensor connector and fill with dielectric grease

Make sure battery and grounds in good order, Add a ground net system ($10) Instructions on this site

Before replacing the O2s check them out fro proper alternating DC voltage. Can use the test procedure noted on this site and read performance thru the check engine light. Also check the heater section of the O2s with a digital ohm meter. See serfice manual for speck I believe it is 3 to 1000 ohms

Before prelacing the injectors Ohm them (OK if 10 to 14 Ohms) if OK leave them alone don't look for trouble. Clean the injector connectors and fill with dielectric grease

Look for vacuum leaks and fix. You probably have old hard hoses.

etc etc etc search for more
