I'm not a professional photographer so can't say for sure. If you read the recommendations at the link they are talking about shooting in the shade of a large building, which I believe leaves you with plenty of light for color saturation, it's also suggested that you shoot late in the day so the light is at a very low angle. Perhaps then you wouldn't need the shade, particularly helpful where it wouldn't be available like at the beach or something. Of course this is all for amateurs like myself, so I think the big thing is reducing harsh shadows and reflections. Shade and fill flash do that for you. I just put it out there because I found it helpful and thought others might too. Your sig pic looks nice, for a non Z of course. :-P :I don't agree with parking it in the shade. Your colors will be more dull if it's not out in the sunlight.
