Subject	Ignition Key Ring Light

Message	Member DVDBURN, in his excellent post about LED conversion couple days ago, wondered why Nissan did not make the ring light on the ignition turn on when doors are opened. My car behaves the same. Is something wrong with our car? As I remember the owner manual states that the door key light, ignition light, and dome light are controlled by door handles. And as such, all of those lights should turn on when doors are opened. If the manual, in fact, does say that, then what are the causes/solutions? If the ignition light was not designed to turn on when the doors are opened, there are a couple ways to make it does by using the hot wire from the dome light as the control. But that is another story.
