| 1) I have the same cell phone service provider as you do. My wife's phone account had the same problem regarding not getting voicemail notifications and/or the voicemails for at least a week. I called their tech support line and they fixed it over the phone in a matter of 15 minutes. This does not constitute a solution that would fix this issue for everyone but....this leads me to the next point. 2) If I am a business owner who is serious about providing people with the highest levels of customer service, and my phone service wasn't up to the task of providing me the service I need, I would switch to another provider. But what if ACME Tin Cans With A String is my only service provider? Then you set up a land line with a conventional answer machine - go low tech if you need to. You also need to direct customers to not leave voicemails on a phone line that doesn't provide consistent message notification. Ex: "Try my cellphone first. If no answer, then do NOT leave a message on that phone, call 1-800-WHERE'S-ASH and leave a message. I check it several times a day and will return messages at the end of the day." The point is, you don't accept these issues and then turn them into excuses for poor customer service. If you're serious about proper customer service you work around these issues. Dave
