Subject	8500 rpm on stock valvetrain

Message	So I was coming home from a wedding the other night and had probably had a few too many. I missed a shift and somehow hit the gas and for some reason the rev limiter didn't kick in. The car let out a roar and the SAFCII said 8566PRM!!! YIKES!!! I've driven it a few hundred miles since then and all is well, but I'm surprised that it is ok, and that the rev limiter didn't kick in. I have a JWT ECU set to 7200RPM and have messed up and hit 7600RPM before but nothing like this. Anybody ever have this happen??
