| I've got a leaking 3 piece wheel and am looking to have the silicone bead redone. After some research, I called the subject places. Without shipping, prices are: Acu Tru: $225 (tire dismount, reseal, mount and balance) FFW: $125 for the same
FFW said they surface grind the area where the old silicone was before they reseal it. I'm assuming that's how they all do it.
I don't want to take the wheel somewhere local and have them take the tire off before shipping because one place already tried, and with the profile and width they failed to even get the tire off. I'd prefer if they can do it all at the repair shop so I know it's not leaking before they send it back. If you've heard anything about either shop, or have another suggestion, please reply before I ship this out.
