they flow better stock vs. an NA head. If you have high HP goals, I would spend the $300ish dollars for a pair of TT heads. 8.5k RPM is really high. At that point you should be running solid lifters, titanium retainers, and probably Ferrea dual coil valve springs (as in the JWT springs might not be enough). Valve float at that RPM will not be good at all. If you are worried about spending money for the $300 heads, you will not be able to afford to build an engine that will reliably spin to 8.5k RPM. I'm not trying to be a dick, but that is the way it is. One last thing, I am pretty sure that cryo treating the block is the same as flushing your money down the toilet. I have never seen any proof that it does anything, and it makes no sense to me that it would do anything. I could be wrong about that, and if I am I am sure my ass will get reamed for it...
