| You can replace the rod bearings and keep driving it. I replaced the rod bearings when my NA engine went our at 220K. Sort of a PITA laying on your back and your arms over your head, but technically not that difficult. I think the wrist pin went out on the same rod that had a bad lower end bearing, as new rod bearings didn't fix my knock 100%. Second option is a TT swap. Makes sense if the car is very clean and you are attached to it. I did my own swap, and love it. Third option is pick up this LT1 powered Z for $1500-1800 and swap the stuff over into your Z if you are set on that option: LT1 Z32 for sale $2000
