| Guys I need help here; I have 3" exp DPs and 3"-2.5" test pipes with cheep-ass Megan exhaust. I originaly failed emessions due to a 3.79 HC reading and a 2.57 CO reading. And the "hater" at the inspection place cited me for "no cats". I went to another location a week later and passed on the cats from another woman (albeit ignorant) so thats a non-issue, but my #s are still to high. Guys I have effectively "blown my wad" on this expensive build and am looking for a quick fix.The engine currently has ~500mi on it. I HAVE to update the tags so I need some suggestions. I have four possible routes to take but I want to explore ALL options here: 1) Install WB guage, SAFC Neo w/additional MAS to lean it out for Emissions. This is where I'll be going in the future, but I have to recoop some $$$$ ie. wait till Feb. 2) Fabricate some universal Cats to fit my 3" DPs. A huge PITA with no guarantee on the success of bringing down the #s. 3) Replace the TPs with Cats from SZ in hopes that this will bring the #s down. This realy isn't the most efficient fix as I already spent $$$ on my custom TPs and will of course switch them back off after testing. Although I have'nt priced them I suspect these Custom cat-pipes are gonna be a blooming fortune and there is realy no guarantee that they will bring my #s down to 2.2 and 1.2 to pass inspection. PS. I got the 3"/2.5" because I didnt wont to replace the existing exhaust...$$$$$. I ofcourse would rather have all 3" anyways. From a purely financial stand point this is absurd 4) I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one: Disconnect a vacume hose on the system to create a "lean" scenario just before the inspection. If this is possible; Which one? Don't get me wrong, I have spared nothing in terms of the quality of this build and I will be proceeding with route 1. But I need a quick fix for now so I can continue to break the car in legally. Thanx in advance
